Greetings Rockaholics! I called on my good friend Ian from Metal Shop (also the guitarist for The Loss, playing the Kraken 1/17!) to fill in for the last Loud & Local of 2012! I gotta say, he did a kickass job with the playlist, which featured: Ill Intent, Success, Ol’ Doris, Jeff Loomis, Thou Shall Kill, Head Honcho, Random Orbits, Bloodhunger, Open Fire!, 3 Inches of Blood, and Earth Control. With the leftover time, I snuck in Smooth Sailing, Helms Alee, The BadLands, and Danko Jones’ new favorite: Brothers of The Sonic Cloth to close things out. I love December because I get to play bands that are loud and also local, every goddamn night of the week!! That's what we do every weeknight during the Loud & Local 9 O'Clock Cockfight Takeover. This weeks episode of L&L started by playing a recap of the bands we played during said takeover this past week.

Greeting Rockaholics! This year, I'm thankful for Seattle's badass music scene. I'm also thankful for the opportunity to play some of these hard-working bands every week right here on KISW. That being said, tonight's episode of L&L had a ton of new stuff from The Jilly Rizzo, Ben Union, Valis, Black Beat Blue, The Circus in Your Town, Heiress, Vendetta Red, Basment Sessions, Sandrider, and Zeke! It was a blast. Show thanks to these bands by supporting them and going to see a damn show (and buy some merch)!!!
