Greetings Rockaholics! Very special guests Witchburn were hanging in studio for tonight's "Pain in the Grass Pre-Funk" edition of Loud & Local! We debuted songs from their upcoming, still-not-fully-mastered-but-totally-badass album "Bathed In Blood" which will be out later this year. Tonight also featured songs from BJ's Band of the Week- Amadon, as well as Walking Papers, who will be at Pain In The Grass this Saturday the 29th!! Tonight's Loud & Local was a win-win. I got to hang with Tony & Scooter from Mos Generator, so obviously I won... and YOU win because you get to hear some tracks off their brand spankin' new album, Nomads! Good times were had as I was joined in studio by Bobby and Alex of Wounded Giant this week! Do yourself a favor and get down to the Kraken on September 15th and check them out live! We started out with their song "Sinistra" then played tunes from other projects the guys have been involved with including a couple tracks by Basment Sessions (featuring Bobby), Occult SS (featuring Alex), and Black Queen (also featuring Alex). Another action-packed episode of Loud and Local! This week started off with 2 bands playing Bumbershoot, The Spittin Cobras (also BJ's Loud & Local Band Of The Week!) and Black Breath. We also heard from Wounded Giant, Sanctuary, Basment Sessions, Bigfoot Accelerator, Local Dudes (yes that is the actual band name,) Fox & The Law, before wrapping things up with a badass track by King Dude. I had the pleasure of being joined by Natalie and Michelle from Rain City Rock Camp for Girls this week! Between talking about this awesome cause we did manage to play some tunes. Starting us off was Alabaster, then we heard from Walking Papers (playing Pain In The Grass!), The Staxx Brothers, Dead Man, Another Perfect Crime, and wrapped it up with a band by the name Unnamed Band. Loud and Local kicked off with a bang as I debuted two tracks from BJ Shea's Loud & Local Band of the week... Walking Papers! Then I featured songs by Sweetwater, The Loss (show at the Kraken 9/29!), our friends from down south Red Fang, Mos Generator, Quarter Mile Pumpkin, Akimbo, and Black Breath. We wrapped up with another killer local band that will be at Pain In The Grass, Witchburn!
