51:22 minutes Metal Shop - March 3rd, 2012 - Hour 1

Welcome back to Metal Shop! We began tonight with a classic track from French metallers Gojira, into brand new music from Spawn Of Possesion, and also gave away tickets to the satanic masters Deicide. Death has a new live double disc release coming out soon on Relapse Records, so we played a live track from them, RIP Chuck Schuldiner. Mace was the local band in the studio tonight, who are a classic northwest metal band from the 1980’s. They played some of their new music, told us some stories about the Seattle metal scene back in the day, and played some of their favorite tunes.

Our second hour started with our old school segment "From The Vault," where we featured a classic tune from White Zombie called Revenge, off their 1989 record "Make Them Die Slowly." From there, we talked with newly reunited Seattle legends Mace, played some remastered tunes from them and and jammed a couple of their requests - Exodus and Slayer. The 12 o'clock hour ended with the debut of a new song by Canadian doomy black metal band Woods Of Ypres, whose frontman, David Gold, was recently killed in an automobile accident. Rest In Power.

Hour 3:
Caught In A Mosh tonight began with Abominable Putridity, and our heaviest 15 minutes of the night unfolded with music from Vomit Remnants, Dysphoria, Graf Orlock, Gortuary and finally Cenotaph. To balance out the complete brutality, we gave brand new Angel Witch a spin - and we also took a visit to the Metal Shop Brutal Poetry corner, where Kevin hit you with Six Feet Under’s Bonesaw. We gave out tickets to go see Onslaught on Monday March 19th at Studio Seven, and ended this hour with Mastodon and Lamb of God!

We closed the show out with an hour full of awesomeness. We started the 2am hour off with the second installment of "The Dubsack" featuring a Belezebong song handpicked by Ian. After that, we debuted new High On Fire and Clinging To The Trees Of A Forest Fire, gave away tickets to see Rammstein in May, and ended things with Amon Amarth and a brand new song by Russian black metallers Drudkh.

Last week we sat down with David Elefson at the Gigantour 2012, and we aired a portion of our interview with him this hour. Have you heard the new Napalm Death record yet? If not, we aired a brand new song from them tonight, and we also played our final segment of Folk Metal February for the year of 2012!

Tonight's From The Vault featured Whiplash off of their record Power and Pain from 1985! Gotta give ups to those metal bands who have come before! We talked to Lemmy Kilmister from Motorhead this hour, and he announced that Motorhead WILL be taking part in the 2012 Rockstar Mayhem Festival. We played local music from Seattle band Trial and aired brand new music from Cannibal Corpse this hour. Rammstein tickets went out this hour, and we debuted brand new unreleased music from local band Black Breath.

We started off our third hour witrh Caught in A Mosh, our weekly segment where we jam pack 15 minutes full of slammingly brutal heaviness, including brand new Aborted, Cerebral Bore, Agoraphobic Nosebleed and The Acacia Strain. Later in the hour we gave away tickets to see Onslaught at Studio 7 and then played some SLAYYYYYYYYYYYER! Can't go wrong with Slayer.

Holy crap, it's the debut of our 4th hour! To start things off, we brought forth a new segment, "The Dubsack," where we play a killer stoner jam to calm things down a bit. This week we chose a song by Electirc Wizard. Later in the hour, we talked to a band from Spokane called Losing Skin and ended the show with an epic Opeth song. Long live the 4th hour!

We began tonight's episode with an epic banger from Behemoth, and a brand new unreleased song from Black Breath to get things going in the right direction! We also announced HUGE Metal Shop news, in that as of next week we are going to be on the air as a four hour show as opposed to the traditional 3 we are used to. Next week Metal Shop is on from 11pm to 3am! Folk Metal February continued on with Tyr and Ensiferum! We ended the first hour of the Shop with tickets to see Possessed and brand new Cannibal Corpse!

From The Vault, our oldschool segment featured Katatonia, and we also found out why our intern wasn't here last week. Apparently he got knocked the eff out by a bass cab, and Gym Rat Matt broke his arm being a bro. Shocking. We sent out an entire block of UNRELEASED music this hour, including Cannibal Corpse, Periphery, Meshuggah, Black Breath and Municipal Waste. We gave away a few more pairs of tickets to see Possessed, and ended the hour with djenty djams from Vildhjarta.
