60:00 minutes Metal Shop - Hour 2 - August 25th, 2012

Tonight’s From The Vault segment featured Savatage from 1987! Gettin’ oldschool on your ass! Later on this hour we gave away tickets to see Eyehategod, Prong, and Black Breath at Bumbershoot and aired a portion of our interview with Paul, the drummer of the mighty Cannibal Corpse. We also gave out tickets to Devin Townsend Project and Katatonia, as well as debuted another new song from Ensiferum!

50:22 minutes Metal Shop - August 25th, 2012 - Hour 3

Like always, our third hour started off in the most brutal of fashion - Caught in a Mosh! - the most uncompromisingly heavy 15 minutes of radio. ever. This week we started things off with a 30 second blast of awesomeness brought to you by Pig Destroyer. Yup, it's their new one. And it rules. After Caught in a Mosh was finished blowing the brains off the Pacific NW metal tribe, we gave away tickets to see Korpiklaani! This week's Brutal Poetry is not to be missed, as it's hosted by none other than Paul from Cannibal Corpse! Toward the end of the hour we gave away more tickets to Anthrax!

51:23 minutes Metal Shop - August 25th, 2012 - Hour 4

Like every week, the start of the fourth hour means the return of the stoniest segment, the "Dubsack." This week, we lit things up with a brand new track by the appropriately named band Dopethrone. From there, we gave away tickets to a folking awesome metal show featuring Moonsorrow, Korpiklaani and Tyr. Around the half way point of the show, we tossed out a couple more pairs of tickets to see Heavy Dev and company, then ended the night with last call - our all request segment that features none other than Slayyyyyyyyyyyyyyerrrrr!

54:20 minutes Metal Shop - August 18th, 2012 - Hour 4

In honor of Seattle's Hempfest, we dosed the listening audience with an extra potent double shot of the Dubsack - first we played a brand new track of Hooded Menace and then threw on a classic track by Black Sabbath. We gave away the rest of the tickets to go see Summer Slaughter on the 22nd, then played some brand new music by Grave and Ensiferum. We ended the night with requests for Suffocation and a cover of the KISS classic "God of Thunder" by Entombed. Horns up!

This week, the heaviest segment of the show, Caught In A Mosh, started off with a grindbomb in the form of Graf Orlock! From there, we gave away a free pair of tickets to Summer Slaughter and played some classic Cannibal Corpse. In the middle of the hour, we talked to two awesome local bands, Cascabel and Breag Naofa and played some tunes from their albums. Kevin also read an excerpt from an old school Autopsy track for "Brutal Poetry."

\m/ Welcome back to Metal Shop - 4 hours of brutality and debauchery each and every Saturday night on KISW! We began tonight with a rager from Pulling Teeth into a brand new brutal track from Cryptopsy. New Faceless followed by Dying Fetus and Fear Factory took us into our interview segment with classic Northwest band SANCTUARY! They told us a bit about their new record, when to expect it, and to come out and see them play some of their new songs next Saturday at the Studio Seven 10th Anniversary party.

Tonight's From The Vault featured a classic crossover thrash tune by DRI - Hooked! Respect! We proceeded to play ANOTHER classic metal jam by the name of Hammer Smashed Face and gave away tickets to see Cannibal Corpse and a ton of other awesome bands next Wednesday the 22nd at The Showbox Sodo. Midway through this hour we jumped on air with a local band by the name of A Lesson In Chaos, chatted with them about their new EP titled "EP" and gave away more tickets to see them open for Sanctuary next Saturday!

46:45 minutes Metal Shop - August 11th, 2012 - Hour 1 - Interview with Six Days Of Darkness

WELCOME BACK Metalheads to the realm of Metal Shop! We started tonight with Napalm Death into some classic Suicidal Tendencies! Some brand new music from Ensiferum went out this hour, and we began our interview segment with local band Six Days Of Darkness - our local openers for the Summer Slaughter festival on August 22nd at The Showbox Sodo. We gave out tickets to said show, played another Summer Slaughter band Cereberal Bore, and heard once more from local band 6 Days Of Darkness!

Like always, the third hour of this week's show started off with the most brutally intense 15 minutes of the show - Caught in a Mosh - the segment where you could possibly lose your arm in an impromptu mosh pit. This week, we played Unearth covering Sick Of It All, a brand new track by So-Cal kings Xibalba and a freakishly heavy song by Cephalic Carnage. From there, we debuted new Korpiklaani, Ian hosted an especially broooootal version of Brutal Poetry and we gave away our third pair of tickets to the almighty Summer Slaughter!

This week, the show raged on into the fourth hour by starting things off with the 2 a.m. Dubsack, our "green-friendly" stoneriffic segment where we featured a new unreleased live track by The Atlas Moth. Grooooooovy, maaaaaan. From there, we played some Agalloch and debuted some brand new Katatonia. At the halfway point of the hour, we gave away our last pair of tickets for the week to Summer Slaughter then took requests from then on out! We finished the show off with BTBAM covering a classic Metallica jam then threw on some Down.
