55:54 minutes Metal Shop - May 5th, 2012 - Hour 2

Our second hour started with our old school segment, From The Vault, where we featured an underrated Seattle thrash band, Panic, and a song they released back in 1993. From there, we gave away tickets (plus a meet and greet pass!) for Rammstein at the Tacoma Dome, played a portion of Ian's interview with Mastodon, then toward the end of the hour, gave away tickets to see Origin, Decrepit Birth, Aborted and Cattle Decapitation. Wow, that's a stacked-as-hell lineup. We ended the hour with a classic track by King Diamond!

Caught In A Mosh, our heaviest 15 minutes of the night featured Amputated, Cenotaph, Deadborn, ACxDC, and finally Vomitory. We gave away tickets to see Meshuggah this hour, and Kevin took us back to the Metal Shop lounge with Exhumed in tonight's episode of Brutal Poetry. New music from 3 Inches Of Blood and Dying Fetus appeared this hour and we also gave out our final tickets to see Rammstein May 14th at the Tacoma Dome.

Tonight's Metal Shop DUB SACK featured a sweet drony band by the name of Inverloch! Get green, friends. We played a brand new song by Marduk this hour, aired a portion of our interview with Huntress, and ended the show with last call and Shadows Fall covering Ozzy's Bark At The Moon! Welcome back to Metal Shop, KISW's realm of the ungodly! Tonight we kicked things off with some classic Entombed then kicked it into overdrive with some brand new Dying Fetus. Our first ticket giveaway was for Overkill this Monday at El Corazon, then we welcomed former Nevermore and current solo shred-master Jeff Loomis into the studio to play guest DJ. For the rest of the hour, Loom Of Doom played us tracks he carefully hand selected!

This week, the midnight hour started off with our From The Vault segment hand picked by Jeff Loomis himself - the classic power trio Coroner! From there, Loomis continued to guest DJ and choose a handful of awesome metal tunes. At 12:30 we played brand new Dragonforce and gave away tickets to see them at El Corazon. Around 12:45, we played our interview with Vh1 classic's "That Metal Show" co-hosts Jim Florentine and Eddie Trunk, then gave away tickets to see them do their live gig at El Corazon this coming Friday.

Tonight's heaviest 15 minutes of Metal Shop - Caught In A Mosh - featured new Dying Fetus, Cannibal Corpse, Catheter, Cripple Bastards and lastly Phobia. New music from Unleashed and Allegeaon came before tickets to see Mastodon and Opeth, and we re-entered the Metal Shop lounge for Brutal Poetry featuring oldschool Suffocation. Origin tickets went out and we also talked with Land Phil from Municipal Waste!

Tonight's Dub Sack featured a fine green performance by a band called DUST, and also played brand new music from Gojira! We played the recently released Pantera song Piss this hour and also aired a portion of our interview with Rex Brown, bassist of Pantera and member of Devil Kill Hill. Lastly we gave away tickets to Negura Bunget and said goodbye for the night! See you next week on Metal Shop!

Welcome back to Metal Shop! This week's episode started off with a bang with a classic track from Behemoth. From there, we grinded minds with a brutal song by Benighted, then soon after gave away tickets to see Rammstein at Tacoma Dome. The rest of the hour was devoted to playing local bands and talking to BJ, the promoter of the yearly Protect Metal Benefit Show. Metal for a great cause! Check it out!

Our second hour started with our old-school segment, "From The Vault," where we played a classic jam by Type O Negative. After that, we gave away tickets to see guitar heroes Dragonforce and then played a couple clips from our recent interview with Nergal and Orion from Behemoth. We later gave away tickets to see Opeth and Mastodon and ended the hour with Thou covering Nirvana.

This week, we started our gnarliest segment with some Pathology, before terrorizing your ears with 15 minutes of straight grindcore. After that, we gave away tickets to see That Metal Show performing live at El Corazon. Travis The Virus gave us a heartfelt reading of Six Feet Under's "Hacked To Pieces" for "Brutal Poetry" and we later gave away tickets to see Overkill.
