Hour 2 tonight began with our oldschool segment From The Vault where we shine a light on some underrated yet influential bands. Tonight we heard from Forbidden, an older thrash band from California who put out an awesome record in 1990 by the name of Twisted Into Form. Later on we heard from Garbo Kevin, who was on location in Santa Barbara for Sound And Fury Festival. He interviewed several bands and we heard his conversation with heavy-hitters Xibalba.

Metal Shop returns again to reclaim KISW for the metal heads! We began tonight with some old school Gojira into Battlecross. We gave away tickets to see Rhapsody of Fire and featured local death metal band Thou Shall Kill live in studio! They are opening up for Six Feet Under on June 20th at Studio Seven. Once in a blue moon we get to feature From The Vault in the first hour, and we snuck it in just before the strike of midnight. Enjoy LEGEND!

We started Metal Shop tonight with a band by the name of Abominable Putridity – just to warm you up! Brand new Soulfly was played right at the beginning, and we also gave out our tickets to see August Burns Red at El Corazon on Feb. 11th. This hour also featured local band Sacrament Ov Impurity in studio live, promoting their show next week with Phalgeron at El Corazon.

From The Vault tonight featured a band from the early 90's by the name of Rorschach. They are playing August 19th at El Corazon in Seattle. We played another new track from Revocation, and Meshuggah showed up this hour alongside brand new music from Manowar!

Interview with John Kevill of Warbringer - July 22nd, 2011

Today we got to talk with John Kevill, the vocalist of modern thrash band Warbringer. He told us about some of the songs on their new record, "Worlds Torn Asunder," the Warbringer songwriting process, tour activities, John's dream band, and he also answered our scar question. Their new record comes out September 27th on Century Media and they will be in town at El Corazon on November 5th.

Tonight's Caught In A Mosh featured all bands that are playing Rainfest 2011 - the only completely DIY annual hardcore festival in the Northwest, and it's all going down on Memorial Day Weekend. We opened with Owen Hart into Black Breath, followed by Losing Skin and an interview with Greg Bennick of Trial. Local band Funeral Age also showed up this week, and we gave away tickets to see Orange Goblin. The show rounded out this evening with Gojira and Forgotten Tomb. Thanks again to Book Of Black Earth for coming up to the show!

Tonight's Caught In A Mosh featured: Wormrot, Despise You, Mother Of Mercy, Blood Has Been Shed, Terror and F The Facts. The 2nd most songs we've ever crammed into CIAM. We gave away Symphony X tickets this week, played new In Flames, and gave away Trap Them tickets. We ended the night with melodic black metalers, Alcest.

Local band Somnae joined us in the studio to chat about their 3 song demo and play us some tracks, and later we gave away free tickets to see August Burns Red at El Corazon. Rock.

We started our third hour with a dose of brutality in the form of caught in a mosh via Devourment and Agoraphobic Nosebleed. We then gave away tickets to a show on April 19th at El Corazon. Their name is too vulgar to type here or even say on the radio, so let's just call them A.C......

Tonight's Caught In A Mosh begins with a wake-up call from Benighted, into the insane gutterals of Waking The Cadaver. Our heaviest segment continued on with Decapitated, Insect Warfare, and a rediculously heavy death metal cover of Friday... by Rebecca Black...... thanks, Internet. Locals Somnae and 7 Horns 7 Eyes showed up this hour, and we talked to Ted Aguilar from Death Angel and gave away tickets to their show on April 10th at El Corazon. We did our "test text track with Tesseract" and heard Kevin try to say it 3 times fast. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR CONTINUING TO LISTEN TO METAL SHOP!
