He plays for a classic band by the name of Accept, and they are coming to town Saturday September 22nd with Kreator and Swallow The Sun at El Corazon. We talked a bit about their new record Stalingrad, the Accept songwriting process, and some older tunes that Wolf would recommend the Metal Shop audience. Wolf told us a bit about his current guitar setup, and some of the best German metal bands.

We aired another of Kevin's interviews from his trip last week to California's Sound And Fury - This time with Nick Jett, drumer of the crossover band Terror. We hit last call and called it a night here on Metal Shop by playing some Lamb Of God in solidarity with Randy Blythe and his current incarceration in the Czech Republic. Tonight we were happy to announce the return of the almighty GWAR to the Northwest on November 10th at the Showbox Sodo! Halfway through this hour we talked with Jon Shaffer, OG guitar player and member of the band Iced Earth, who just put out a huge comeback record this year and are kicking ass on the road currently.

Later on we heard from Garbo Kevin, who was on location in Santa Barbara for Sound And Fury Festival. He interviewed several bands and we heard his conversation with heavy-hitters Xibalba.

Shortly after CIAM we aired a portion of our interview with Corey Taylor of SLIPKNOT, and entered the realm of Brutal Poetry, where tonight Ian recited a lovely ditty from technical Death Metal masters Necrophagist. Somehow our resident lunatic BRO broke into the studio and we all received a dose of Gym Jams from Gym Ratt Matt featuring Lamb Of God. Free Randy!
