Hour 3 started with a modern rager from Exodus, into Caught In A Mosh, our most brutal 15 minutes of the night! We kicked off CIAM tonight with Kataklysm, into Wormrot, Abominable Putridity, Cattle Decapitation, Graf Orlock and lastly the mighty Nasum. To give your ears a break, we debuted brand new Katatonia with a song called Dead Letters from their forthcoming record titled Dead End Kings. Ryan The Bearded Intern took us back into the Metal Shop Lounge for a "stab" at Brutal Poetry with an entry by Devourment - Choking On Bile!

Tonight's 4th hour began with our segment called The Dubsack, where we play some nice stony jams and embrace the closing of the bars. Tonight's Dubsack featured a local band by the name of Samothrace with their brand new song A Horse Of Our Own. We gave away tickets to see Gojira, Dethklok and Lamb Of God this hour and immediately handed over the reigns to you for Metal Shop's Last Call of the night! Our heaviest 15 minutes of the night, Caught In A Mosh, contained brutality from Last Days Of Humanity, Djesus, Buried Alive, Disembodied, and lastly Kraanium. If your head is still connected to your neck, get down on some brand new Gojira and enjoy some Brutal Poetry featuring Kevin's reading of Lawnmower Lobotomy. Tickets to see Black Breath at the Southern Lord Records Showcase also went out this hour. Horns up! \m/

Tonight's 3rd hour began with the heaviest 15 minutes of the program we have to offer - our segment called Caught In A Mosh! CIAM tonight highlighted the brutality brought by Devourment, Dahmer, Putrid Pile and Kraanium! We gave away tickets to both Corrosion Of Conformity and Lamb Of God/Gojira, and ended the hour with a dedication to our fallen NW musicians from last week's Racer Cafe tragedy.

Our oldschool segment From The Vault featured Fate's Warning from Hartford, Connecticut. We played Fata Morgana off of their 1986 record Awaken The Guardian. We gave away tickets to Lamb Of God/Gojira/Dethklok on August 1st at the WAMU Theater, and also played a brand new music block featuring Dying Fetus, Kataklysm, Candlemass and St. Vitus. Lastly we ended with a tour announcement featuring Agalloch at the Crocodile Cafe on July 12th.

Welcome back to Metal Shop! We kicked off the show tonight with Carcass and brand new music from Lamb Of God. Tickets to go see Ghost went out early this hour, and we reiterated the Rockstar Mayhem Festival announcement. Slayer, Anthrax, Slipknot and many more! Ian sat and chatted with Barney from Napalm Death this hour, and we played a new unreleased song from their record Utilitarian out in February. Hour one ended with tickets to see August Burns Red.

Metal Shop this evening began with Carpathian Forest into brand new music from Aborted - and we followed that up with tickets to go see Scale The Summit. RIP Kevin's Slayer shirt.. whoever stole it be damned! We announced the Black Dahlia Murder/Nile show this hour and also debuted a brand new song from Lamb of God. In Flames tickets went out this hour, and we HAD to play Behemoth out by request. Harm's Way from Chicago ruined your face and we ended the first hour with Machine Head's Blood For Blood!

From The Vault, our old school segment, featured Bolt Thrower from 1988. We gave out tickets to see Ghost and also debuted another unreleased song from Lamb Of God. We sent some Soulfly and Corrosion of Conformity out by request this hour, and our intern Callum also gave us the local concert calendar. We aired new music from Veil Of Maya, and also gave away tickets to see Scale The Summit.

Tonight's Metal Shop began with Machine Head's tribute song to Dimebag Darrell, who was taken from us 7 years ago this week. RIP DIME! We are proud to have been able to debut a new song from Lamb Of God this hour, titled Ghost Walking. Death Metal December once again took ahold of the second half of the hour as your answer to the holiday blues. The Metal Shop listeners were calling in force tonight, and we were the lucky recipients of a new Metal Shop toast this hour. We gave away tickets to GWAR, and ended the hour with a classic from Lamb Of God.
