57:24 minutes Metal Shop - Hour 3 - September 1st, 2012

Caught In A Mosh – Our heaviest 15 minutes of the night began with Cenotaph and carried on the brutality with Brutal Truth, General Surgery covering Xysma, and Engorgement. After the break we dished out some tickets for Moonsorrow/Tyr/Korpiklaani this Saturday the 8th at Studio Seven, and played a new Converge song from their record coming out on October 9th. Ryan The Beard, our intern, hit us this week with Brutal Poetry in the Metal Shop Lounge. He recited a passage from Donor Cadaver by Big End Bolt and we also debuted new Ex Deo!

Tonight’s green friendly segment – The Dubsack – featured new music from a sludgy band by the name of Serpentine Path, followed by a double dose from Eyehategod, one of this year’s Metal Bumbershoot headliners. Tonight's 4th hour began with our segment called The Dubsack, where we play some nice stony jams and embrace the closing of the bars. Tonight's Dubsack featured a local band by the name of Samothrace with their brand new song A Horse Of Our Own. We gave away tickets to see Gojira, Dethklok and Lamb Of God this hour and immediately handed over the reigns to you for Metal Shop's Last Call of the night! Our heaviest 15 minutes of the night, Caught In A Mosh, contained brutality from Last Days Of Humanity, Djesus, Buried Alive, Disembodied, and lastly Kraanium. If your head is still connected to your neck, get down on some brand new Gojira and enjoy some Brutal Poetry featuring Kevin's reading of Lawnmower Lobotomy. Welcome back to Metal Shop! We kicked off the show tonight with Carcass and brand new music from Lamb Of God. Tickets to go see Ghost went out early this hour, and we reiterated the Rockstar Mayhem Festival announcement. Slayer, Anthrax, Slipknot and many more! Ian sat and chatted with Barney from Napalm Death this hour, and we played a new unreleased song from their record Utilitarian out in February. Hour one ended with tickets to see August Burns Red.

Tonight we started with Obituary, into Dark Funeral covering SLAYER, who were in town tonight! We debuted a brand new song from Skeleton Witch, and gave away tickets to see Landmine Marathon - who are playing with two incredible local bands, Owen Hart and new band Theories. We also played live music from Pantera, and announced the upcoming Decaptitated tour. This hour ended with the Contortionist.

Tonight's Caught In A Mosh featured Amputated, Cephalotripsy, Last Days Of Humanity, Iron Lung, Hour Of Pennance, Nails and Kataklysm. We followed up our heaviest 15 minutes of the night with old-school revival from Accept, followed by two new tracks from Polish death metal act Vader. We gave away tickets to see Diamond Head this hour, and ended with a doomy jam by Corrupted. See you next week!
