Caught In A Mosh tonight: Dysphoria (wow), Harm's Way, into Cereberal Bore. Kevin revealed his line for picking up girls at the club, and we gave away tickets to see August Burns Red on April 11th at El Corazon. We also played local band Forced Entry in honor of KISW's Seattle Music day going on later this week.

We were lucky enough today to sit down in studio with Crowbar mastermind Kirk Windstein to pick his brain a bit about the new Down material, Crowbar's songwriting process, his gear set up, Skullets, the New Orleans sound, some of his favorite Dimebag riffs, and many many other topics.

Tonight marks the 1 year anniversary of Kevin and Ian taking over for the Kevin and Steve regime, and we couldn't be more proud to be taking the reigns from some of the best heavy metal DJs Seattle has ever seen! We promised to continue on with the brutality, and we did our best to deliver. We played the original phone call of Kevin and Steve calling to tell the losers (us) that they were bestowing the show unto the losers (us). We named our Metal Shop mascot, and his new name is GILGAMESH! Tickets to Crowbar went out this hour as well! New Amon Amarth? I gotta stop typing... dayum.

Each week we feature the giants of metal who have paved our way, and this week Fate's Warning took home the torch on FROM THE VAULT! We took some phone calls, interviewed AJ from The Human Abstract, and gave away tickets to see the Deftones and Dillenger Escape plan.

Our heaviest segment continued on with Decapitated, Insect Warfare, and a rediculously heavy death metal cover of Friday... by Rebecca Black...... thanks, Internet. Locals Somnae and 7 Horns 7 Eyes showed up this hour, and we talked to Ted Aguilar from Death Angel and gave away tickets to their show on April 10th at El Corazon.
