Welcome back to Metal Shop! We began the brutality this week with Strapping Young Lad and new music from the almighty CROWBAR. We had a few listeners check in from the Tacoma Dome where Ozzy and Slash rocked the NW. Cradle of Filth tickets exited our hands this hour, and Graf Orlock and Belphegor also made appearances. \m/

Caught In A MOSH this evening - Agoraphobic Nosebleed, Losing Skin (LOCAL), Dying Fetus, Onslaught, New Lows. We played local band Trial in anticipation for RAINFEST memorial day weekend, and gave away Cradle Of Filth tickets!

From The Vault tonight brought you the original death metal masters - Possessed! We gave away tickets to Times of Grace at El Corazon on February 11th, and we played our 3 song block of bands we cannot pronounce. Brand new CROWBAR was also debuted in this hour, off their record Sever The Wicked Hand which isn't even out yet!

We rang in Metal Shop with Behemoth this week, and brand new music from Deicide! They'll be smashing their hammer of satanic metal over the heads of Seattle at El Corazon on March 4th. Tommy and Andy from The Accused joined us live in studio this hour, and we played some of their classic Northwest tunes, and talked about their new music video that will be released soon!

We started this hour with From The Vault, our segment where we play some oldschool/classic metal! Possessed brought us the true meaning of DEATH METAL in this fine segment. Times Of Grace, playing on Feb 11th at El Corazon? Yeah, those tickets definitely exited the door this hour. Slayer rocked your world, and we played a block of sweet metal bands that we can't pronounce. UNRELEASED Crowbar may or may not have also been slipped in this hour.

Caught In A MOSH! 15 minutes of insanity brought to you this evening by Shockwave, Flesh Consumed, Implosive Disgorgence, Pathology and Insect Warfare. We chatted a bit about the new Gibson Dethklok guitar, our new podcast GLOBE SHREDDERS, and gave away Cradle of Filth tickets!

From The Vault tonight featured Pentagram! Here in 2011, we stand on the shoulders of our metal giant forefathers and sisters, so we must pay tribute to those who have come before us. We played a preview of Folk Metal February with Finntroll. Our first pair of Eyehategod tickets also went out this hour.

Caught In a Mosh this evening began with 8 seconds of brutality from Phobia. But it wasn't enough, so we hit you with Phobia twice! Blam! Converge, Skinless, local band Doom of Babylon and Autopsy rounded out our heaviest segment of the night. We revealed the results of our anti-Grammies texting poll: which metal album is the best to get completely trashed to? The winner of the first Metal Shop One Gram Award: PANTERA - THE GREAT SOUTHERN TRENDKILL. We also gave away our last Eyehategod tickets. \m/

Our segment From The Vault - paying homage to the bands who came before, started this hour with Prayer For Cleansing. The guys from Sanctuary played a few of the songs that influenced them, and we took some calls from fans looking to talk to Sanctuary! They're playing El Corazon on January 21st, be there. GO HAWKS!
