Metal Shop's third hour this evening began with a tune from Sabaton into Caught In A MOSH, our heaviest 15 minutes of the night! We started off with Devour The Unborn (tasty), into Engorgement, Warf**K, and Visceral Disgorge. Gorge yourself! After CIAM we played another song from the new Nachtmystium record, Silencing Machine, which came out last week on Century Media Records. Intern Ryan The Beard took on Brutal Poetry this week, with a literal stab at a fine lyrical gem from Abominable Putridity.

Tonight's DUB SACK, our stony green portion of the night, we featured more brand new music! This time it came in the form of a 9 minute jam by a band called Eagle Twin! New music continued on all the way until the end of the show with new tunes from The Foreshadowing, Gaza, Ex Deo, Ovid's Withering, and many more. As usual, Metal Shop's last call came into effect, and we closed out the night with requests for Vision Of Disorder and local band Blood And Thunder. KEEP METAL ALIVE! We'll see you next week! \m/

Tonight's 2am Dubsack featured new music from Hooded Menace, and then we hit you with another new song from local band Stealing Axion into MORE new music from King of Asgard! We aired another of Kevin's interviews from his trip last week to California's Sound And Fury - This time with Nick Jett, drumer of the crossover band Terror. We hit last call and called it a night here on Metal Shop by playing some Lamb Of God in solidarity with Randy Blythe and his current incarceration in the Czech Republic. Tonight's old school segment From The Vault tonight featured an oldschool underrated band by the name of RIOT. Tickets to go see Six Feet Under, Dying Fetus and Revocation went out, we debuted brand new Fear Factory and aired a portion of our interview with the metal comedian Brian Posehn.

Our third hour tonight started with live DEATH into our heaviest 15 minutes of the night - Caught In A Mosh! CIAM tonight featured Putridity, All Out War, Graf Orlock, and Man Is The Bastard. We gave out tickets to the Rockstar Mayhem Festival this hour, and re-visited the Metal Shop Lounge with Brutal Poetry! We also played new Marduk and gave away tickets to their show this Friday with 1349.

Tonight's green friendly segment - The Dubsack - featured a groovy tune by a band called Acid Witch. Down popped up this hour, and we gave away tickets to see the Northwest Knock out at Hell's Kitchen as well as tickets to see the Southern Lord Records tour. We debuted new music from Nachtmystium and ended tonight with a Finnish band by the name of Desolate Shrine! We will see you again for more brutality next Saturday at 11pm.

Metal Shop returns again to reclaim KISW for the metal heads! We began tonight with some old school Gojira into Battlecross. We gave away tickets to see Rhapsody of Fire and featured local death metal band Thou Shall Kill live in studio! They are opening up for Six Feet Under on June 20th at Studio Seven. Once in a blue moon we get to feature From The Vault in the first hour, and we snuck it in just before the strike of midnight. Enjoy LEGEND!

Our oldschool segment From The Vault featured Fate's Warning from Hartford, Connecticut. We played Fata Morgana off of their 1986 record Awaken The Guardian. We gave away tickets to Lamb Of God/Gojira/Dethklok on August 1st at the WAMU Theater, and also played a brand new music block featuring Dying Fetus, Kataklysm, Candlemass and St. Vitus. Lastly we ended with a tour announcement featuring Agalloch at the Crocodile Cafe on July 12th.

Today Ian sat down with Bill Kelliher (guitar) and Brann Dailor (drums) of Mastodon before their show at the Showbox Sodo with Opeth and Ghost. They discussed the current tour, and the evolution of Mastodon with The Hunter. Bill and Brann explained a bit about their Record Store Day releases and commented on the recent demise of Roadrunner Records UK. They finished off by showing off their scars and gave some final words for the Northwest audience.

Welcome back to the gates of Metal Shop once again, our metal headed friend! We began tonight with a song by Integrity by the name of Heaven's Final War, and went into brand new music from Soulfly. The new music continued with an unreleased song from God Forbid, we said hello to our new intern this hour, and also announced the Marduk tour with 1349 on June 15th at Studio Seven. Tickets to see Deicide went out, and we played new music from Borknagar! From The Vault takes over the midnight hour up next.
