We got to pick Mark's brain on many topics, including what it was like sitting down with Rex to compile the inside story on one of the greatest metal bands ever, the rise and fall of Pantera in the 90's, and a ton of stories and information you might not have ever known about Pantera. Tonight's Metal Shop began with Machine Head's tribute song to Dimebag Darrell, who was taken from us 7 years ago this week. RIP DIME! We are proud to have been able to debut a new song from Lamb Of God this hour, titled Ghost Walking. Death Metal December once again took ahold of the second half of the hour as your answer to the holiday blues. Pantera kicked off Metal Shop tonight - and it has definitely been a good night! In this first hour, we gave away tickets to see the return of Sanctuary to the North West on New Years Eve 2011 and began another month of Death Metal December with Cannibal Corpse, Possessed, Behemoth, Deeds Of Flesh, Dying Fetus, Carcass, and Obituary. Tasty.

From The Vault tonight featured Exhorder - The Law from their 1992 album of the same name. We gave out both Death Angel and Opeth tickets this hour, and also played new music from both Skeleton Witch and Absu. Pantera and Dethklok requests rounded out the second hour of tonight's show.

Tonight's From The Vault, our oldschool segment, featured Wino's band The Obsessed from 1985! Pantera showed up this hour alongside Agalloch and Blackguard, whose shows were also featured in this hour's giveaways. We also gave a spin to a cool local progressive metal band by the name of Stealing Axion.

Welcome back to Metal Shop! We opened up tonight's show with a heart warming little number by a band called Eternal Suffering. We wished Dimebag Darrell a happy birthday and also played some PANTERA. Both Toxic Holocaust and Pentagram/Bumbershoot tickets exited the doors this hour, and we also debuted new music from Chaimaira.

Tonight we started with Obituary, into Dark Funeral covering SLAYER, who were in town tonight! We debuted a brand new song from Skeleton Witch, and gave away tickets to see Landmine Marathon - who are playing with two incredible local bands, Owen Hart and new band Theories. We also played live music from Pantera, and announced the upcoming Decaptitated tour. This hour ended with the Contortionist.

Thank you once again for participating in the three hour metal domination that is Metal Shop! This week we began with Swedish death metal band Revolting into back to back PANTERA! We announced that we've edited the entire Pantera library for requests so feel free to drop them as you feel necessary. We gave out tickets to see YOB, played Hatebreed and put our new intern John on blast hard. What else are interns for? New Decapitated ended the hour. Proceed immediately to hour 2's podcast!
